Security Cleared - L3 WINTEL & VDI Support Engineer

We are looking for a dynamic and confident Wintel engineer who can approach complex technical issues seeing a bigger picture and understand the implications of making changes.

The role

Level 3 WINTEL and VDI Support Engineer to support the customer deployable systems across multiple domains. The role will primarily involve working from incidents raised on our clients' live system at the customer site, which have been mainly escalated from 1/2nd line resources that are often remotely based environments.

We are looking for a candidate who is not afraid to own problems, incidents and deliver solutions to issues.

The Level 3 WINTEL and VDI Services shall include Installation, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of third-party software, products, and services relating to Core Services.

Skill Set & Technology

• Strong skills in Microsoft Windows Server 2012 r2 or later. Microsoft HyperV virtualization / VMware Vsphere 6+, Active Directory & Group Policy design management, design, and support.
• Failover and clustering technologies - Good understanding of troubleshooting dmz and networking technologies
• Antivirus/endpoint applications. i.e. MacAfee, Sophos
• Backup Solutions including DPM and Veeam
• Storage systems technology experience (SAN/NAS)
• Powershell and other scripting experience
• Microsoft WSUS and SCCM design, management, troubleshooting
