Risk and Compliance Manager - Competition Law
Permanent
Reading \hybrid - 3 Days per week onsite



The role requires someone who understands competition law in depth and understands what happens when breaches occur. Risk management, Anti-bribery and GDPR are key elements that are needed in this role. The company is implementing a new risk framework system and would like someone with ideas and who pro-active. Must have legislative/regulatory experience.

This role will be accountable for ensuring a strong culture of compliance and risk management within the company. The role will provide operational project support specifically to the Shared Rural Network special projects team, as well as other allocated projects, to ensure compliance with competition law and work with the shareholder compliance teams to drive the right behaviours around information sharing.

This role will also support the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Counsel in delivering and further developing the Governance, Risk and Compliance frameworks for the company and lead on key workstreams, including new training initiatives, policies, and procedures.

What is required:

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in Compliance Management, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A level of commercial acumen to actively seek cost savings and efficiencies by innovation, creative team management.
  • Experience in telecommunications, cell site deployment or related project management.
  • Experience or knowledge of reading and interpreting contracts and contractual clauses.
  • Good working knowledge of project management principles are essential.
  • Ability to build relationships and maintain rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A collaborative team player with good organisational skills and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and simply.
  • Able to embrace change with positive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Likes a challenge and a varied workload in a busy and interesting work environment.
  • Computer and technology literate with excellent Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel and Outlook skills as well as the ability to use other platform solutions.
