Job Description

This is a great role for a Category Procurement Manager within Acquisition, Design, Engineering & Construction. The role is working for a high profile telecoms company that offers great benefits which include a bonus scheme and 30 days holiday allowance plus much more.

2 day hybrid working in the office.

What the role will be doing:

You will take ownership of a range of sub-categories within the companies key delivery offer including Acquisition, Design, Engineering and Construction, along with the associated company spend and relevant supplier base. The Category Procurement Manage will develop appropriate commercial strategies and approaches to optimise value-for-money and minimise supplier-related risk.

Financial contribution will be linked to an industry standard methodology and aligned with the companies commercial structure. Working in conjunction with a range of internal stakeholders, you will drive commercial benefit, service delivery improvement and process efficiency.

What experience is needed:

  • Telecoms procurement experience would be desirable but construction and design experience is the essential aspect so other industries can be considered.
  • Ability to design, develop and manage Category sourcing strategies. Design, develop and manage operational models, processes and governance structures
  • Hands-on category management, negotiating and presentational skills
  • RFP/Sourcing Event management
  • Goal deployment of strategy and process creation
  • Strategic and collaborative thinker
