PMO Lead - Mobile Telecoms

The purpose of the role is to provide technical guidance to the Project Management Office (PMO) and work with the PMO Manager in the management and delivery of Project Governance Process and the Change Plan.

The role will be key to driving best practice Project Delivery across the whole of the company, by defining & standardising the Project working practices and their associated artefacts.

The role will also require the gathering & interpreting of information and documentation relating to Business requirements which can be analysed to provide proposals for future Business solutions / Projects.

In addition, there will also be a requirement to manage the Governance of work submissions for certain areas of IT Work. Ensuring the work is reviewed, Impact Assessed, developed and Deployed in a controlled and standard manner.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing the day to day Project governance process within the PMO for all Internal Projects.

To review and assess the Project Governance Process with the aim of seeking efficiencies and continued improvement.

Leading Project Managers and Business Owners through the Cornerstone Project Working governance from the initial idea through to the final Project Delivery.

Working with the PMO Manager with the gathering of Project delivery status and the definition and management of the Change Plan. This will include the production of the Monthly Change Plan Report.

Establishing and maintaining effective Governance of new work submissions into the IT Team.

Skills/experience required:

Strong PMO background, ideally within mobile telecoms

Senior stakeholder management

Strong governance experience

Excellent presenting skills

Experience of project management methodologies
