Network Engineer/2nd Line Network Support(WAN/Juniper) - Birmingham, UK - 12 Month Contract

A national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered.

Leading IT Services Provider in the defence sector require a skilled 2nd Line WAN Network Support Engineer (Juniper SRX Routers/BGP/IPSEC/MPLS/PKI) to join their 24/7 shift team, for an initial 12 months rolling contract, based in Birmingham, UK.

The project requires a 2nd Line WAN Network Support Engineer to work on a 24/7 shift pattern, with experience in:

• Must have strong 2nd Line WAN Network support experience
• Must have strong experience of Juniper SRX Routers to a 2nd line level
• The role will involve supporting and investigating SRX routers as part of 24/7 BAU operations to enable the delivery of secure network.
• Manage, monitor and support Juniper SRX Routers to a 2nd line level, are you confident with BGP/IPSEC & PKI Prime, MPLS
• 2nd line WAN Network engineer to join our 24/7 shift team.
• An experienced 2nd line network engineer to join a team engineers, responsible for managing and supporting the customer network estate
• Must be able to work on-site in Birmingham
• Daily duties will include a mixture incident management, project/implementation work and general support escalations/fault finding.
• A skilled 2nd line engineer capable of investigating, supporting, configuring, and troubleshooting Juniper network devices.
• The successful applicant will have experience in managing, monitoring and supporting Juniper SRX Routers to a 2nd line level
• Experience and knowledge of BGP, IPSEC, PKI Prime, MPLS
• The successful candidate will have knowledge of the following: Juniper SRX Routers, BGP, IPSEC, PKI Prime, MPLS
