Job Description

Lead Microsoft Applications Developer (MS/Azure) is urgently required by our Global IT Services Company for an initial 6 months rolling contract, to be based remotely from home, UK. (UK Only).

Responsibilities & Skills:

  • The successful applicant will be an experienced Microsoft Lead Applications Developer
  • The Microsoft Lead Applications Developer will be responsible for delivering enterprise integration solution using Microsoft development tools and frameworks, supporting and delivering a number of solutions to customers using the Microsoft stack of Technologies.
  • The role will involve working on well-established System Integration projects delivering mission critical enterprise solutions to customers.
  • Experience of as many of the following: developing technology solutions for large complex business change programmes, MS Azure Platform, MS DevOps (VSTS), setting up a continuous delivery and Integration pipeline including automated testing and deployment using Azure Devops, Azure SQL Server (OLTP), C#, PowerShell, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microservices , web services, including JSON and XML.
  • Knowledge of as many of the following: Power Apps application development, Power Automate development, Azure components (Azure Storage, Azure Key Vault, Logic Apps, Azure Automation, Azure Batch and Azure Service bus), using version control systems Git,
  • Developing API's using logic apps, azure functions and azure API-management.
  • Automated Testing using BDD and TDD approach. Provisioning automated secure cloud Infrastructure using tools such as ARM Templates/ Terraform.
  • Understanding of Agile, Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
  • Automation of Infrastructure. Repeatable patterns, pipelines, and security integrations.
  • Variety of databases and programming languages, e.g. SQL Server, .NET, C#, Java.
  • Latest information technologies including their pros and cons in the context of large organisations.
  • Integration Architectures and patterns, including knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus.
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, data migration and Big Data.
  • Good secure coding standards such as OWASP.
  • Auditing and monitoring approaches and tools.
  • Excellent client facing experience
