Leading IT Services Provider in the Defence sector require a skilled Network Specialist to join our existing dynamic Solution Build Practice to join their team in Plymouth.

*** A national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered. ***

Your role :

• We are looking for a L3 Network Engineer to provide network engineering support of the LAN and WAN across all security domains
• The role will primarily involve incident management on our client's live system, on incidents that have been escalated from 1/2nd line resources that are often remotely based environments.
• We are looking for dependable and experienced support staff that are not afraid to own problems and incidents and deliver solutions to issues

Required skills:

• Installation, configuration, deployment, maintenance and diagnostics of all (CISCO) Network Devices and supporting cabling and infrastructure
• Level 3 Support for the LAN and WAN relating to Core Services
• Network support, advice and recommendations to design change
• Updating Design Documentation to capture Network Changes
• Detailed knowledge of core network technologies and infrastructure including but not limited to:
• CISCO Nexus
• Advanced knowledge of routers, switches and firewall product lines and vendor licensing model
• CISCO IOS XE
• CISCO Switch and CUBE
• Firewall IPS/IDS
• ACL-ASA Firewall
• OPSF
• BGP
• Spanning Tree
• VolP
