About the role
We're looking for an experienced Software Developer that will bring some strong development and analytical skills. You will be part of a team responsible for development and maintenance of our forthcoming new Resource Management System. You will be deploying applications to an AWS infrastructure. This is using Docker and will eventually be using Kubernetes. This is greenfield work, meaning you have an opportunity to get involved in shaping a new application from the beginning.
Technology stack required
Ø Java (or a willingness to convert from another language like C# or PHP)
Ø Spring (or willingness to learn this after learning other similar frameworks)
Ø Angular (or similar frameworks like React)
Ø MySQL
Nice skills to have
Ø Devops (Continuous Integration etc)
Ø Docker (we currently use Docker Compose, aiming to use Kubernetes in the future)
Ø AWS including managing containers, databases, etc.
Ø Linux administration
Ø NoSQL databases such as MongoDB (we're exploring this as a possible part of our stack)
Ø RabbitMQ or similar MQ technologies
Ø UX or design skills
Desired skills and knowledge
Ø Computer Science degree (BSc/MSc)
Ø Java web development experience
Ø Ability to read/develop clean and self-documented code as part of a team
Ø Ability to write clear technical documentation
Ø Ability to work in a team and be a team player
Ø Ability to adapt and learn new skills quickly
