Finance Analyst (Part Qualified Accountant)

A top company in Telecom space in UK is looking for a Finance Analyst (part qualified accountant) to join their team on a 6 month contract.

We are a team of 13 covering a wide area of financial support and management across the customer. The team is made up of financial business support areas for Wholesale (which this role sits in), Business, Opex management for Finance, People, Legal, Corporate Comms and Project Management Office. The Analyst role is within the Wholesale finance team which is a team of 5 supporting the Wholesale Operations team.

We are looking for a proactive, ambitious and delivery focused individual who wishes to grow and develop their finance and business partnering skills. The successful candidate will provide effective and timely financial support, including monthly management reporting, month end close specifically booking MVNO revenue and raising invoices to Customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

This exciting role will enable you to further develop your financial analysis, relationship building and presentation skills, while also providing guidance and support during Budgeting and reforecasting. Your key contributions will help to ensure we invoice our customer Right First Time, accurately book and forecast the revenues from our MVNO partners and produce clear and insightful reporting on MVNO performance.

Main responsibilities include:

• Raising, Reviewing and Distributing accurate invoices and supporting data to MVNO Partners
• Analysing and communicating financial results to internal stakeholders
• Gathering and sharing data for quarterly and Adhoc Regulatory reporting (Ofcom)
• Implementing and maintaining price books. Issuing pricing schedules to customers
• Support the Wholesale team in ensuring reporting from third party vendors (Lifecycle) is accurate and received in a timely manner.
• Assisting and covering other analyst roles at times of high demand/leave cover
• Proactively seeking out potential problems before they become an issue and putting in place solutions.
• Accurate accounting of the monthly financial performance of MVNO partners (incl. Journal postings & Balance sheet reconciliations)

Must have experience and skills:

• Part / Newly Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Excellent MS Excel skills (including filters, pivot tables, lookups and charts).
• Able to prioritise and deliver high quality/accurate/timely reporting.
• Strong accounting and reporting skills with great attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexibly in a demand-led environment
