Overview:

Our client, a leading telecommunication company is seeking a newly qualified ACA or ICAEW to join its Reading office to support its commercial issues, management accounting, reporting and provide analysis.

This is a small team with a wide remit to engage. The working culture is inclusive and fun.

The ideal candidate will be financial accounting focused. This role will suit someone who is flexible, enjoys learning and creating new processes to add real value to an organisation.

What you will do:

• Support the production of financial information requirements for the M&A transaction.
• Lead on the delivery of relevant contractual obligations, gaining a deep understanding of the key elements of commercial agreements.
• Supporting the Finance Manager on all financial and management accounting and reporting, in addition to external audits.
• Supporting commercial discussions between the UK and external suppliers.

The ideal candidate:

• Newly Qualified ACA or ICAEW (Qualified between 2022 and 2024)
• Strong understanding of external statutory and non-statutory audits, including methodologies, requirements and processes
• Strong technical accounting / advisory skills and up to date knowledge reporting on IFRS and FRS 101, UK GAAP.
• Financial accounting focused
• Self-starter who can deal with ambiguity and drive changes and improvements
• Strong communications skills to deal with individuals and teams within and external to the organisation
