Are you an experienced Employee Relations professional ready to make a real impact? We're looking for a confident ER Specialist to join our People team and play a pivotal role in shaping fair, consistent and commercially aligned people outcomes across our organisation.

In this role, you'll act as a trusted expert providing professional, pragmatic and specialist ER advice to people managers and key stakeholders. Your work will directly support our business strategy, ensuring our people experience is aligned with policy, precedent and legislative requirements.

Responsibilities of the Employee Relations Specialist include

You'll take the lead on a wide range of complex and high‑risk ER matters, including:

  • Managing disciplinary, grievance, capability, sickness absence, whistleblowing, appeals, early conciliation and Employment Tribunal cases
  • Delivering individual and collective consultation for business change projects (redundancy, TUPE in/out, changes to terms and conditions)
  • Assessing risk and presenting clear, commercially viable options to the business
  • Coaching, supporting and developing ER Advisors
  • Using ER data and Excel to identify trends, insights and opportunities for proactive intervention
  • Driving continuous improvement by identifying gaps in processes and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance systems and ways of working
  • Building strong relationships with internal customers and acting as a trusted business partner
  • Designing and delivering training to uplift capability across the organisation

The successful Employee Relations Specialist:

  • CIPD qualified or working towards qualification
  • Strong, proven experience in Employee Relations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex and high‑risk cases
  • Experience leading consultation for business change projects
  • A confident, solutions‑focused approach with excellent stakeholder management skills
