The Electrical Specialist position is a key role within the Site Design Team, responsible for electrical design initiatives for our internal teams, construction partners and clientele.

As our Electrical Design Specialist, you will lead the charge in developing design standards and solutions that align with current legislation and regulations, ensuring both build and operational effectiveness.

Your proactive approach will be instrumental in driving cost-effective and energy-efficient designs while collaborating with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate within our multi-disciplinary Design Team, focusing on electrical engineering.
• Develop design standards and solutions compliant with regulations, ensuring suppliers adhere to these standards.
• Conduct site visits, audit installations, and review test certifications.
• Cultivate relationships with suppliers, facilitating product development and training.
• Address incoming design queries, offering guidance or delegating to specialists within the team.
• Review and approve electrical design concessions, providing responses to queries.
• Provide feedback to suppliers on electrical design matters, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Uphold guidelines in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Support and report on incident investigations, contributing to safety improvements.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in Electrical Design and Installation of commercial & residential installations, compliant with BS7671.
• Proficiency in Test, Verification & Inspection to BS7671 for new and existing fixed installations.
• Strong telecom or electrical trade experience.
• Ability to build relationships with the supply chain.
• Deep understanding of electrical infrastructure, including AC, DC, Earthing, LPS, SPD's, and DC power supplies.
• Familiarity with CDM legislation.
