Design Engineering Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Design Engineering Lead to work within the Engineering team. Whilst this role will not have any direct reports, the role will provide leadership to a team of project-based Design Delivery Managers. The primary objective of this role is to enhance the design delivery function within our organisation. The successful candidate will possess excellent technical design knowledge, be a natural leader, and drive digital transformation initiatives. This role requires the ability to generate ideas to increase design supplier productivity and improve design throughput whilst driving a cultural shift towards a "right first time" mentality. The role will also be responsible for, developing robust data and reporting systems, managing design approval systems, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers and customers.

• Possess a strong technical design background and a thorough understanding of mobile infrastructure project processes and delivery.
• Provide expert guidance and support to the delivery teams on technical design matters.
• Stay informed about passive and active design guides and their implications for design delivery.

· Implement quality assurance processes to minimise design errors and rework.
