Role: Design Deliver Manager

Type: Permanent

Location: Theale Hybrid (3 days a week in office)

We have an exciting opportunity for Design Deliver Manager role with one of the leading Telecom brands.

Role Scope:

The DDM is responsible for ensuring that all designs are delivered to pre-determined timescales in accordance with project specific design parameters. They are the interface for design suppliers, operators, and acquisition managers to collate data and resolve blocking issues to ensure flow of delivery. Primary responsibilities are to manage a variety of instruction types issued to Cornerstone design suppliers and operator suppliers through process and tools specific to the project. All relevant data to be recorded and tracked on the Cornerstone tools to enable reporting. The DDM must work closely with the delivery managers of the stakeholders and design suppliers to ensure the smooth execution and delivery to Process and Governance of the drawing element of the ADC work stream abiding by the process & PDD for all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design suppliers to produce drawings and relevant dependencies within agreed SLA. To process drawings submitted by design supplier to be approved by stakeholders within SharePoint.
  • Attend pre/remote MSV desktop reviews.
  • Ensuring designs abide by agreed project specific design parameters.
  • Ensuring designs cover the agreed demand as per LRT/BRT.
  • Ensuring new designs do not clash with other existing or in-flight designs.
  • Ensuring designs reach the agreed standard for quality and content.
  • Managing escalation and conflict resolution via the appropriate processes.
  • Capture all steps of the design life cycle and manage E2E process for all designs.
  • Refer designs to CS engineering team for review where required.
  • Identify areas for improvement & take ownership of specific issues through to resolution to drive improved performance and achieve targets.
  • Manage 3rd party suppliers to deliver agreed targets on a defined group of sites by creating an environment that drives success & secures business targets through reporting and management of key deliverables.
  • Regularly interface with equivalent stakeholders within CS/VF/TEF to support and enhance business relationships to deliver designs and create collaborative working relationships. Governing the relationship between CS and sharing parties, ensuring competition laws are strictly adhered to.
  • To deliver efficient monitoring, control and reporting of drawing submissions using key business tools, applying the appropriate level of governance and validation. Ensure all input of cleansed data into necessary tools and systems, driving drawings through the process working closely with key stakeholders to ensure supplier instructions are implemented within agreed business SLA's without overstepping role responsibilities.
  • To create and deliver accurate reporting to reflect status of drawings throughout ADC cycle, including but not limited to: volumes, supplier mixes and work in progress status. This will be using intermediate excel skills and other internal and external tools and databases. Responsible for data alignment activities impacting using multiple tools and systems, analyzing large volumes of data and driving any issues through to resolution.

Experience Required:

  • Experience within the design production and evaluation process
  • Knowledge of passive and active telecoms equipment vendors and configuration.
  • Experience in data management and/or program support role
  • Experience in managing fluctuating volumes & process compliance
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Intermediate MS office skills
  • Accuracy & attention to detail
  • Able to work on own initiative and in pressurised environment
