Job Title: SQL Reporting Analyst - Shared Rural Network - Mobile Telecoms - Permanent
Do you LOVE data? Do you come from a mobile telecoms background? We have an exciting new opportunity to join a unique organisation within mobile telecoms as a Data & Reporting Analyst working on the Shared Rural Network (SRN) programme. This is a remote role with occasional travel to London
Job Purpose | To define, manage and maintain data sets to support the SRN programme to create relevant reporting for both internal and external stakeholders. |
Job Summary | To document data requirements (input, processing and outputs) required to support our programmes and support the detailed design of the underlying database. Initial focus will be to document the as-is and future versions of the data required to manage the SRN network. Interrogating databases and datasets to generate accurate and timely analysis Produce intelligent analysis of data and trends to ensure the programmes can react and improve effectively Ensuring the accuracy of data and information reported Locating and fixing data errors or anomalies Translating business requirements and building required reports or dashboards Designing and producing and then actively managing any required regular reporting Ability to utilise data sets and generate outputs that can support programme themes and assist in decision making |
Additional Responsibilities | Understanding associated datasets used across functions and/or programmes and the links (where applicable) between them Undertake a continuous improvement approach to the evolution of reporting processes and management of data sets Navigate varied and complex data requests. Ability to show initiative and work with minimal supervision Strong team player able to contribute positively as part of the data team and wider programme teams as required |
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience
| Oracle SQL and analytics Numerate with high attention to detail and accurate data analysis Excellent communications skills to relay information clearly and concisely in both written and verbal forms Able to understand and explain complex data scenarios Experience in liaising with and reporting to all levels within a business Successfully working within agreed timelines Demonstrable experience in the manipulation and processing of a variety of large / complex datasets Process mapping (Visio/Lucid Charts) Mobile Telecoms experience Desirable ● Tableau ● ETL (Extraction, Transform and Load) ● ISO27001 ● Understanding of GIS / Mapping principles |
