Creative Artworker
12 Month Contract
Reading/ Hybrid working - 1 or 2 days a week in the office.
We are recruiting for a Creative Artworker for a large UK telecoms infrastructure company based in reading (2 days and remote 3 days). This role is a 12 month contract opportunity.
Background:
We are building something special at Three: an in-house agency that is going to re-energise the brand and take our marketing effort to new heights.
A strong creative in-house team is pivotal to this. We need an experienced and versatile Artworker to help us deliver the highest standard of campaigns and assets to support our ambitions for the brand, with a focus on the company's new proposition - 3Vision
This role will form part of a wider creative team, reporting to the Operations Lead.
Success will be an extension of the IHA's remit over time, taking on higher profile briefs as we prove our capability to the business. The right candidate will be up for that challenge and will give an equal amount of love to all briefs, however small.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the success of the in-house agency Deliver against our creative ambitions for the brand working to the IHA's plan for how this will be achieved and by using your expert artworking knowledge, skills and experience, and your ability and personality. As part of this, you'll develop and introduce internal guidelines for the production of media ready assets produced to high quality standards. More generally, you'll be pro-active at all times: bring energy, share ideas and help make this a team that talented people want to be a part of.
- Finalise the work so that is consistently the best it can be. As an accomplished Artworker, you will be confident in your ability to add a layer of quality to all your work. You'll have excellent design sensibilities and the ability to follow existing and developing brand styles, combined with an ability to solve visual problems. You will be adept at interpreting briefs and assessing materials to help ensure that you are able to deliver against requirements within given timings. You'll have advanced proficiency in InDesign CC, Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC. You'll be proficient in PowerPoint and Keynote presentation software; able to build templates and format slides, and you will have an aptitude for picking up new software.
- Flex your skills across all types of briefs, media and assets
be creating digital and print-ready artwork and assets across all channels. You'll need to produce forensically accurate work, to given production and print specifications and you will be confident in discussing these requirements when needed. You'll have in-depth knowledge of and technical expertise in cutter guides, retouching, visual design, pre-press, file preparation and pre-flighting. You'll work closely with creatives and designers, the production team, and very occasionally directly with marketers.
- Collaborate with the in-house agency team and its internal customers. You will be able maintain quality whilst helping the team to deliver to short deadlines and fast turnaround times. You will build strong collaborative relationships with the rest of the IHA team maintaining the focus on creative excellence and work that works well. You'll also develop positive relationships with marketing and other roles that brief the IHA, helping them to help the IHA generate quality work.
- Help the In-House Agency run efficiently and effectively Based on your clear understanding of all the brands in the stable and the creative ambition of the IHA, you will support agreed ways of working across the team so that each member of the team is able to work efficiently and effectively. You'll ensure that work is filed effectively, uploaded to Asset Management Systems and your time is recorded in REBUS. You'll make good use of systems, tools and processes which enable the team to excel. And you'll demonstrate behaviours that encourage respect across all functions of the IHA and to show due regard for timelines, budgets and other constraints inherent in the brief.
Person Specification:
- Extensive experience in a creative agency environment with experience of delivering high quality work for a fast moving retail brand
- Must have considerable artwork experience across Brand, all channels of Marketing Communications, Retail Estate / Point of Sale and Packaging.
- Your portfolio must demonstrate the quality of your work and ability to solve challenging briefs
- Knowledge of Motion Graphics is advantageous
