Change Enablement Specialist - Mobile Telecoms - Permanent
Reading - Hybrid working - 2-3 days per week in office
In a nutshell:
We're looking for someone to help assist/ proactively manage service availability, risk and impact of all changes implemented across the MBNL estate.
Someone who has experience working in an operational function i.e. performance/incident or change management would be ideal for this role.
The Role:
MBNL are looking to recruit a Change Enablement Specialist. This role will help manage the delivery of the Change Enablement services by the supplier ecosystems to achieve agreed business outcomes and performance targets. The Tower and Network Services directorate is accountable for delivering the right sites, in the right locations, always accessible and always on.
What you can expect to be doing:
- Ensure that the Change mailbox is managed proactively, responding to emergency requests and queries in a timely manner.
- Ensure that reports are run at specific times as per requirements.
- Ensure all emergency changes contain the required justification, sponsorship, and detail to allow the MBNL Change Manager to approve.
- Perform impact and risk assessment of changes to ensure minimal disruption to services and customers.
- Ensure outages requested are accurate, realistic, and aligned to the type of activity being completed.
- Manage Golden Site outages and ensure the Shareholder Service Management teams are notified in advance.
- Assist the Change Manager in trend analysis of Permit Efficiency & Utilisation to identify areas for improvement for Small Works Contractors.
- Proactively monitor and measure network availability thresholds and quotas.
- Attend Weekly Change Review Boards.
- Attend Daily/Weekly Network Availability meetings.
- Identify areas for improvement in the Availability, Change, Site Access and Lockdown processes.
What we are looking for:
- Good Microsoft excel skills.
- Knowledge of telecommunications radio access networks
- Experience in a customer centric role
- Change management and Availability management experience
- Confident communicator with excellent organisational skills
- Strong knowledge of the methodologies, processes and capabilities required to deliver best in class technical and business services.
- Experience of working in a multi-supplier environment.
- Experience of BMC Remedy
- ITIL experience
