I am recruiting for a Senior Vendor Manager to join our client's Head Office team, working for one of the world's leading Mobile brands.

You will play a key role in managing in-life vendors/contracts for the delivery of key enterprise services across Cloud, IT Infrastructure, Data-centres or applications environment. Working within an Agile environment my client is looking for a Vendor Manager who is commercially-savvy, technically minded and has in-depth knowledge of in-life contract management and governance.

As Vendor Manager you will work closely with the suppliers building strong relationships, you will use your technical knowledge to understand the contracts and clauses in order to identify areas of performance management, disputes, breach of contracts etc. and work with the suppliers to rectify.

As Vendor Manager your role will involve:

  • Work with in-life suppliers, get into the detail to understand the technical contracts, track and monitor performance against short, medium and long-term benefit, setting service improvement plans, penalty clauses and monitoring/negotiating on service level requirements
  • Utilising your technical expertise within IT infrastructure and Software to objectively review and challenge the Partner Statements of Work and solutions
  • Using commercial and technical expertise, utilise problem solving skills and be able to collaborate with the Partners to achieve win / win outcomes within the framework of the contractual obligations

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Commercially astute Vendor / Contract Manager with experience of managing in-life vendors and technical service delivery contracts
  • Understanding of commercial contract terms and agreements
  • Vendor management experience with excellent relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Technically minded with an understanding of IT Software and Infrastructure
  • Background managing vendors within Telecoms or IT Infrastructure or services (Cloud, data centres)
  • Leadership and managerial experience, strong stakeholder relationship management
  • Previous experience of supporting the delivery of set contract outcomes
  • Proven record working in a fast paced service delivery environment
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Will have clear experience of working in a role managing complex operations and changes whilst being accountable for their budgets and value realisation.
