The Main Description:
Reporting into the Senior Vendor manager, responsible for technical contract management of our clients Technology Transformation Programme.
The role will require that the vendor manager works with the Programme team comprising of Architects, Partners and business leads to ensure that the outcomes of the Technology transformation programme are achieved within the appropriate timescales.
The role is focussed on the Governance and contract management for all of the Third Party Vendors associated with the new IT systems.
The role works as part of a team of vendor managers working within the Technical Contract Management area.
Support for day to day governance activities within the Technology transformation programme for Third Party Vendors. Advise on any governance changes that may be required to better support the Partners and delivery of the Technical transformation programme.
Provide detailed analysis and documentation supporting contractual issues that may occur from time to time.
Review and assess compliance to contract for Third Party Vendors
Prepare and manage weekly and monthly governance sessions in relation to Third Party Vendors.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications.
5 years of Vendor / Partner / Supplier management
5 years of managing vendor delivery against technical contracts in the application development / Infrastructure / software as a service areas
Experience of working within a complex vendor delivery environment with multiple vendors on large programmes.
Must have sound technical background including understanding of terminology related to cloud services, network services and telephony. Experience of Microsoft Azure would be an advantage.
