Job Description

Project People are working with a global leader in technology and telecoms to hire an Account Manager to work in Brussels. The overall purpose of this role is to establish, develop and close business opportunities with key carrier accounts within the Belgian telecoms market, with a strong business development focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Locate, identify, develop and close business opportunities.
  • Collect and analyse market related information.
  • Enhance customer relationships.
  • Manage and coordinate activities between company and customer.
  • Create sales account plans in order to identify, qualify and recommend sales actions plans for new business opportunities that are in line with company strategy.
  • Identify key customer requirements and coordinate workshops.
  • Produce and present business proposals and presentations alongside solution managers.
  • Create business plans with customers in order to define new business models and support new product features.
  • Take the lead during bidding projects and contract negotiations.
  • Track revenue and follow up on invoicing and cash collection.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Fluent in English and Dutch, and preferably French.
  • Degree in Engineering.
  • Proven ability to develop new business models for customers with new technology.
  • Ability to manage customer accounts at all company levels.
  • Demonstrable ability to establish brands and explore new product opportunities.
  • Knowledge of one or more of either LTE/UMTS/VAS/BSS or OSS/optical network including SDH, WDM/IPTV, broadband network and IPTN including NGN, ATM/IP, DSLAM, DATA/ intelligent network including SCP, SMP, SDP.
  • Solid knowledge of customer business models and service management strategies.
  • Proven record of building effective long term relationships.
  • Fantastic communication skills.
