Technical Support Engineer - (DV Cleared)

My client is a Global IT Services provider and they have a new opportunity for an Technical support Engineer candidate for an initial 7 month contract.
The successful Support Engineer will provide support for all approved servers workstations, user access devices and applications provided by the solution. The engineer will perform diagnostics using enterprise remote control utilities. They will support all parts of the infrastructure with particular focus on Problem Management of Applications including Core Platforms, SQL, Backup solutions, Office Apps, DNS/DHCP/Group Policy.
The Technical Support Engineer will ideally have a good understanding of IT Security and will provide an active role in maintaining and improving the security of the system to high government standards.
The engineer will be required to perform detailed RCA on server failures. There will be a requirement to install, configure, maintain and deploy products and services in line with the change control process, and be required to knowledge share and support projects, trials and exercises and UK based deployed operations and assist with capacity & demand management.
