Software Asset Management (SAM) Consultant - Buckinghamshire

Leading Managed Services Provider is continuously developing its service offering into a rapidly increasing customer portfolio and as such is looking for someone to work as a Software Licence Desk (SLD) Consultant at their fantastic HQ in Buckinghamshire

The Software License Desk is charged with the effective management of the organisations software licensing, providing a proactive service ensuring compliance and reporting.

This role will report into the ITAM Delivery Manager. Initially, the role will include working closely with the existing team whilst gaining essential knowledge of internal systems and processes.

Full training will be provided and as you'd expect from joining an award winning ITAM team, there is scope in the future to explore further career opportunities in with wider ITAM team.

You should be self-motivated, commercially aware and well organised. A solid understanding of software licensing is an essential pre-requisite. You will have regular interaction with senior figures and decision makers and you should possess excellent people skills.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a customer servicing related role
  • Strong knowledge of software licensing schemes
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage own development
  • Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent PC skills including use of Word and Excel

QUALIFICATIONS

You should ideally hold a Microsoft Licensing Sales Specialist (MLSS), a Microsoft Licensing Sales Expert (MLSE) qualification. Ideally you will ideally hold a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) qualification, if not you will be expected to study for and pass the MCP in Software Asset Management and the ISEB Foundation in Software Asset Management within your first year.
