Senior/Technical Lead Optical Network Engineer. Milan. 6 Months rolling contract (3 year project).

Senior/Technical Lead Optical Network Engineer required to work on a 3 year project for a global telecommunications company. The role will be working at a Technical Lead capacity on Optical transmission network planning, design, system integration and migration.

Responsibilities:

1. Optical devices configuration, isolate and solve problems
2. Generation Optical product High Level Design(HLD) and Low Level Design(LLD)
3. Subcontractor remote support for the engineering project.

Requirement

1. Bachelor in Telecommunication or Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Technician; at least 3 years practical experience in supporting or deploying optical projects (Huawei/ALU/Marconi prefer)
2. Preferred experience for Optical NMS/NOC operation in multivendor environment
3. Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN, WDM, SDH principle and other protocols
4. Experience with WDM/SDH/ASON product knowledge and commissioning, huawei or other vendor experience is preferred
5. Good analysis and problem solving skills to resolve technical problems
6. Autonomous, strong learning and team cooperation ability
7. Language: Italian: mother tongue; Written English: Proficient; Spoken English: Fluent; Germany/France prefer;
8. Place of work: Milan
