Job Description

Main Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for creation and maintenance of our platform roadmap
  2. Responsible for creating a map of the different platforms and functionality in the business and articulate a vision and plan to move forward
  3. Responsible for engagement with product team and set direction for software development and platforms
  4. Technical thought leader and focal point providing leadership across the product and data ecosystems
  5. Liaising and partnering with key business leaders to understand needs and create and shape appropriate technology architectures
  6. Liaising with 3rd party and suppliers to create roadmap and end to end architecture
  7. Accountable for design of WiFi Platforms and integration plan with other platforms in the business
  8. Will work with external clients to understand requirements and provide help to presales function
  9. Will work with internal clients ( transformation, product, security, sales, customer delivery) for product development and new features
  10. Will provide expert judgment and analysis on the architecture, design, development, implementation, and tuning of applications and the data layer (software applications, data warehouse, business intelligence, analytics solutions, etc.)
  11. Will mentor and coach other technical members and developers in the team
  12. Steer and provide technical leadership during design and implementation phases
  13. Consulting with customer internal teams ( UK and outside UK ) providing subject matter expertise as they implement and deliver solutions to customers
  14. Technology research and selection. Will provide analysis on cost, benefits of new technologies and drive proof of concept.
  15. Participate in software and system performance analysis and tuning, service capacity planning
  16. and demand forecasting
  17. Work collaboratively as part of the wider technical team to ensure interoperability with other developments and to provide assistance where needed by others in the team.
  18. Maintain a secure working environment in line with the requirements of the Liberty Global Security Policy in order to protect individuals

Represent the technology community and give presentations on platform and its features to our stakeholders

Job Specific

  • Significant demonstrable leadership experience in a comparable architecture role
  • Communicate the product and data architecture to other groups and ensure the adherence and the value-added of enterprise methodologies and standards.
  • Awareness and understanding of data security and privacy
  • Able to articulate flows between components at high level
  • Understanding or routing principles, infrastructure, cloud and databases
  • Teamwork and leadership skills (where required) who has led architects and developer teams to deliver data driven solutions
  • Strong inter personal and communication skills both orally and written
  • Ability to support business case justification using techniques like business scenario modelling and performing benefits analysis
  • Understanding and awareness of IT industry standards
  • Define and promote software and data security standards aligned with security policy
  • Understanding and working knowledge of different application development frameworks (Spring, MEAN, LAMP, Lavarel, etc.)
  • Understanding and working knowledge Data Integration and Management Experience for operational and analytical applications
  • Created and architect a SaaS platform used by millions of subscribers/customers
  • Strong background and experience of implementing solutions on premise or in cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Ability to create architectural viewpoints and views to address stakeholder concerns
  • Ability to meet deadlines whilst staying focussed and keeping close attention to detail
  • Experience with Scrum and Kanban methodologies
  • Solid communication skills, including good written and spoken English language skills
  • Experience of technical team leadership
