Job Description

As Senior IT Procurement Manager you will be reporting into the Head of Procurement and managing a team of Procurement Managers. Previous team management experience (of IT Procurement Managers) is essential for this position. You will be responsible for negotiating and managing complex IT contracts, supplier selection, negotiating with suppliers and gaining their commitment in order to deliver business needs - driving value, minimising risk and setting SLAs.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven background at senior level IT procurement, including management of a team of Procurement Managers (including remote workers)
  • Procurement experience in IT tools and systems including software development systems, configuration tools and systems and consultancy services
  • Strong commercial experience
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Excellent communicator across all levels
  • Understanding of contract law with experience in negotiating complex agreements for IT tools and systems (including software development, configuration, consultancy services, Agile services, firmware and equipment)
  • Supplier management skills
  • Robust contract management skills including a strong understanding of key IT contract clauses, such as IPR and licence rights
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent
