Project People are currently looking for a Senior IT Procurement Manager to join a really successful and forward thinking business in central Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong team manager to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment with an additional bonus of being in the office only 3 days a week!

As a Procurement Manager you'll be responsible for negotiation complex agreements for IT tools and systems including software development, configuration and consultancy services, so strong IT and Technology background is essential.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing complex contractual agreements including software, hardware and services
• Ensuring that strategic and routine procurement activities across the IT domain are managed and delivered
• Working to gather, understand and facilities the IT needs, the negotiate and deliver against set SLA's
• Controlling spend and performing risk management for suppliers and their respective agreements
• Utilising procurement and finance systems to support the management and reporting of portfolio performance
• Managing the team and resources appropriately, reviewing the performance and providing the feedback
• Identifying opportunities for improvements within the procurement teams

Key requirements/ experience of:

• Team management (essential), ideally of a virtual team
• Complex contract agreement management for IT tools including software, hardware and services
• Strong negotiation, understanding of contract law, and supplier management skills
• 5 - 7 years experience within IT procurement
