About The Company

My client, based in the Berkshire area, are one of the leading network, telecommunications and mobile technology companies in the UK. They looking for a Senior Enterprise BI Specialist to join their exciting Enterprise Information Team, becoming instrumental to driving data driven insight across the organisation and delivering new and innovative data solutions.

About The Role

This role requires both strong business knowledge and technical skills where you will be collaborating with business to understand their priorities and how data and insight can underpin these, then building these products around them. This could be anything from a piece of insight to help tailor a proposition to an analytical model to help reduce churn to a pixel perfect dashboard available on a mobile device.

You will need to be able to build strong collaborative relationships within the business and always putting the end customer at the forefront of what they do and how they do it while supporting the coaching and development of other members of the team. You will also be expected to an advocate of why data & insight matters to a business and translate business needs into technical products to deliver compelling presentations of insight and recommendations.

Experience & Skills Needed

• Strong Knowledge and use of MicroStrategy
• Strong Knowledge and use of SQL DB2
• Any additional experience of the following would be ideal:
  • SAS
  • Python
  • R
  • Hadoop
• An agile, collaborative, and customer focused approach
• Excellent relationship & communication skills
• Good analytical and problem solving skills which will enable the individual to clarify and interpret imprecise business requirements
• Understanding (or ability to develop understanding) of business drivers and what data is and should be used for
• Experience of using information to deliver business value either in decision support, product or customer analysis & analytics capacity
• Experience of business intelligence capabilities and data warehousing delivery
• Experience in requirements collection process in an Enterprise Information environment
• Appreciation of logical data models and physical data models
• Appreciation of database structures
• Energetic and proactive with "can-do" attitude
