An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Developer to work alongside our Customer developing a crucial part of their Digital Transformation Strategy to support Public Service Reform.

The individual will be part of a core team that is responsible for Agile Development and delivering the minimal viable requirements as determined by the Customer. The nature of the role means co-creation will be a key part of our success and will therefore there will be an initial requirement to be based on site working alongside the customer. This will be for around 4 - 8 weeks and will then be based in Bracknell with infrequent travel.

You will have experience of working with Agile, typically SCRUM, and will quickly understand requirements and be able to demonstrate this by fast turnaround prototyping using development frameworks such as Spring or Django.

You will be prepared to learn and adopt new frameworks and technologies as they becomes available.

Essentially, you will be pro-active, a good communicator, an excellent team-player and prepared to learn quickly and adapt to new requirements, new technologies and new challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimation of User stories
• Development and Testing
• Design and develop code
• Perform peer reviews
• Collaborate with Chief Architects and other architects/ developers to produce just enough design
• Technical documentation
• Collaborate with the Agile Customer at SCRUM Meetings to assign business value to technical stories.

Mandatory Skills:

• Agile experience
• Good understanding of software engineering practices in particular, the use of development frameworks
• Understanding of Agile Estimating and planning

Also Development experience in 2 or more of the below:

• Java
• Springboot
• Python
• Flask
• Django

Experience of API management tools such as APIgee highly desirable
