Senior Application Developer - Contract - London

A global IT services company is searching for a Senior Application Developer to join their team in London on a contract basis.

Role:

The Senior Application Developer is required to design a logical data model and data flow for a new complex retail/banking application for a major customer. You will be responsible for defining an overall data model, data dictionary, and defining the content of messages between sub-systems. The output of this work will lead to the definition of APIs and database design. The solution is being built using web technologies, Java and API management from APlgee. Integrating with an existing legacy solution. The role will be part of an Agile SCRUM team delivering fast-paced development.

Skills Required:

The successful candidate will be a hands-on Designer/Developer with capability to design low-level designs. You will be working on customer site (4 days per week with 1 day WFH). You will have retail or banking sector experience and a payments background (credit card/card machines with pin pad etc). APIs/Dataflow. Web application - front end. Java - back end.
