Security Engineer

Senior security engineer

We are currently looking for an experienced LAN security engineer for the European Institutions based in Brussels

Your Mission

· Analysis and specification of operational requirements

· Analysis and specification of operational processes

· Analysis and specification of technical requirements

· Proofs of concept

· Development of scripts to automate and monitor recurrent systems related tasks

· Definition of test strategies, test design and testing of computing systems and networks

· Performance management

· Change and Configuration management (e.g., assessment, scheduling, implementation, review)

· Capacity management

· Operational support (2nd tier)

· Installation and configuration of all relevant hardware and software

· Daily monitoring

· Incident and Problem Management (e.g. trouble ticketing, fault analysis, diagnosis, and resolution)

· Reporting

· Coordination with 3rd party maintenance contractors

· Technical assessment of technologies and related products

· All types of technical documentation, operational guidelines and procedures

· Technical training and guidance

Qualifications

· Minimum 5 year experience in a similar role

· Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in IT

· Wifi Aruba and Clearpasss Authentication Devices

OR

· Infoblox

Methodologies

· ITIL framework and methodology

Protocols

· TCP/IP Suite (SNMP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP, QoS, …)

· SSL (offload/acceleration, interception, VPN)

Soft skills

You have excellent communication skills and can talk to business, end-users and IT colleagues.
