Job Description
Project People are supporting an established school based in Cambridge, who are seeking to appoint a School Caretaker / Site Supervisor on a permanent basis as soon as possible.
The school requires a School Caretaker with at least 2 years' experience that can work on their own initiative, who is reliable, adaptable, hardworking, proactive with a good attitude. You will be responsible for the daily maintenance of the school grounds and building, minor maintenance repairs such as, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting/glazing, cleaning and health and safety. Please note accommodation will not be part of the package with this role and the successful person will work split shift patterns during the working day.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervision of the site
- Opening and closing of the school
- Acting as a key holder
- Responsible for the maintenance and security of the school
- Carrying out ad-hoc repairs
- Ensuring a safe and clean environment for pupils and staff
