Job Description

SC Cleared* Desktop Support Engineer (2nd Line/Windows 7/MS Office/MS Outlook) is urgently required by our Global IT Services Client for an initial contract until 25th May 2018 to be based in London (Canary Wharf).

The position is for a Deskside engineer to support a major financial services account, this involves managing fault calls and planned changes (IMAC) distributed from the TFS call management system, ensuring all relevant SLA timescales are adhered to. This position is site based full time at the customer building in Canary Wharf London.

Support to various devices and PC/laptop builds, Operating Systems, some Active Directory administration, SCCM use, delivering moves and changes across all business areas of the account, providing feedback to and working closely with the change/project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to cost. You will develop key relationships with end users, including VIPs/Executives, in various customer business areas and provide continuing support. Provide feedback on perceived issues, to ensure new services are engaged successfully, negating problems before they arise.

Job Purpose & Accountability:

To work on the IT support contract for a major financial services customer. This involves managing fault calls and planned changes distributed from the Call Management System, ensuring all relevant SLA timescales are adhered to.

Deskside engineer for PC related hardware and software incident and IMACs:

  • laptops
  • desktops
  • General peripherals
  • Printers (not managed print)

The below experience is required:

  • Windows 7
  • MS Office 2003, 2007 & 2010
  • MS Outlook
  • Good customer focus/attitude, good communication and behavioural skills in order to maintain the required face-to-face communications with the customer
  • Can work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • VIP executive support
