Job Description

SC Cleared* Deskside Engineer (Ms Office/ Windows 7) is urgently required by our Global IT Services Client for a contract until 30th March 2018 to be based in London (Canary Wharf). The position is for a Deskside engineer to support a customer account, this involves managing fault calls and planned changes (IMAC) distributed from the TFS call management system, ensuring all relevant SLA timescales are adhered to.

Support to various devices and PC/laptop builds, Operating Systems, some Active Directory administration, SCCM use, delivering moves and changes across all business areas of FCA account, providing feedback to and working closely with the change/project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to cost.

You will develop key relationships with end users, including VIPs/Executives, in various customer business areas and provide continuing support. Provide feedback on perceived issues, to ensure new services are engaged successfully, negating problems before they arise.

This role involves managing fault calls and planned changes distributed from the Call Management System, ensuring all relevant SLA timescales are adhered to. Deskside engineer for PC related hardware and software incident and IMACs:

- laptops/desktops
- General peripherals
- Printers (not managed print)

Experience on handling and supporting the following platforms/software:

- Windows 7
- Office 2003, 2007 & 2010
- VPN Software- Cisco VPN/VSRA/3G Cards
- Wireless connectivity for devices including laptops

Provide services to the customer including but not limited to:-

- Laptop/PC Installations, Decommissioning and Removal

- Laptop/PC rebuilds ¡V using SCCM toolset

- Laptop/PC Installations, Decommissioning and Removal
- Laptop/PC rebuilds ¡V using SCCM toolset
- Customer handovers of hardware including Blackberry, 3G, laptop devices
- Ad-Hoc Software Installations ¡V remote install and local manual installations
- Advice and support to the customer for ad-hoc business requests
- Experience of a software delivery solution: SCCM
-Work within an agreed SLA model

- Have a sound understanding of network topology, understand how patching works from switch to floor

-Some experience to networking (IP address allocation/DHCP awareness)

-Good customer focus/attitude, good communication and behavioural skills in order to maintain the required face-to-face communications with the customer
-Can work under pressure and to tight deadlines
