Retail Area Manager (Telecoms, B2C)

North East (Newcastle & Surrounding Areas)


The Company:

A leading Mobile Operator, who work in an agile, collaborative and customer driven environment. They are currently seeking an exceptional Retail Area Manager to lead up to 14 motivated and high performing Retail Stores, focusing on improving customer satisfaction, performance and commercial awareness.

The Role:

You'll be a valued member of a high performing regional management team, working with commercially shrewd and insight led individuals as your peers. Working alongside your Store Managers, you will set the standard in identifying and establishing inspirational and innovative ways for customers to connect with our brand and deliver sustainable commercial growth.


  • Primarily you will lead a team of Store Managers, setting a clear vision for the area and communicating company directions clearly among direct reports and their teams.
  • Working closely with your people, you will support and supervise stores in delivering sales KPIs to ensure sustainable growth within the area.
  • Take responsibility for driving performance within your area by implementing a performance management system which support the development of high performing teams through individual meetings and regular appraisal sessions.
  • Ensuring that store standards are maintained at the highest levels and encourage store managers to identify trends and make suggestions to make improvements to the proposition going forward.

Experience Required:

  • Experience within a retail/commercial or similarly fast paced environment at an operational management level
  • A strategic and commercially aware leader
  • Ability to increase sales and profitability within a multi-site operation
  • Strong leadership skills and man management skills
  • Team player who can get the best out of others
