Job Description

Reporting Analyst (SQL)



The Role:

  • Support the Solution lead with maintaining and delivering roadmaps
  • Design and development of reports using new SQL scripts for reporting
  • System administration with regard to data set up and data creation
  • Managing of the support inbox within the agreed SLA
  • Interpret and respond appropriately to stakeholder requirements for support and information
  • Resolve minor technical issues
  • Support the Solutions and Systems Lead in the analysis and reporting of technical data, as required
  • Maintain systems, user documentation and training materials
  • Support training on systems
  • Proactively seek to identify and make improvements to processes and systems, though simplification, automation and innovation
  • Support the Solutions and Systems Lead, deputising when required
  • Ensure the smooth running of systems and tools
  • Ensure the availability and integrity of data within the systems
  • Maintain effective working relationships, with timely and clear communications, under pressure
  • Provide an excellent support service, for tools and systems, to colleagues across the business
  • Ensure reporting commitments are met in a timely fashion

Skills & Experience:

  • Good business knowledge of, and be competent in the use of MS Excel - ability to use pivot tables, v lookups, data validation and familiar with charts and tables to display data
  • Data analysis skills to manipulate data into reports/presentations to help the business make
  • Effective interpersonal skills, possessing the confidence to build relationships with all levels of stakeholders
  • Competent at SQL to table joins standard
  • The ability to write new SQL scripts, modifying existing and debug script errors
  • MS Excel & MS Powerpoint
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Be a self-starter, self-motivated, with a can-do attitude
  • Experience of managing and developing tools and systems to support governance and/or management decision making
