We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and motivated contract Project Performance Assurance Engineer.

You will ensure the Network Deployment, New technology, upgrades and cell/site reconfiguration work undertaken is achieving standards in line with our Specification. Drive improvements in customer experience and Network Performance by ensuring contracted work and working practice is compliant.

Accountabilities:

  • Complete desktop performance analysis on a statistically representative sample of successfully claimed activated sites to ensure quality is delivered by the suppliers.
  • Report and focus on BIS, TTO milestones and sites not in operational care/dependencies.
  • Manage TTO concessions processes
  • Ensure compliance to Shareholder KPI checks
  • Represent us in the TTO forum
  • drive improvements in delivery quality
  • Maintain list of sites failing TTO which must not have TTO milestone claimed
  • Carry out in-depth quality based investigation on the 2G; 3G & 4G networks to ensure no impact caused by enabling projects covering all aspects of site deployment.
  • Ensure projects are following agreed process
  • Proactively identify and isolate causes of Medium to Long term KPI degradation and provide solutions (process and technical) to improve performance.
  • Deliver weekly progress and status reporting to key stakeholders.

Education and Work Experience:

Essential

  • Extensive technical understanding of the GSM/GPRS/UMTS system architecture. LTE experience desirable.
  • >5 years Operations and or Deployment performance experience working for a Network Operator or Main supplier.
  • Skilled and considerable experience of using Business Objects. Ability to write queries and reports to extract data.
  • Skilled and considerable experience of using ORACLE database and writing SQL queries to extract data.
  • Skilled and considerable experience of using MS Access and Excel to analyse data.
  • Skilled and considerable experience of using MapInfo.
  • A broad understanding of Operational and deployment issues related to Mobile Radio Networks.
    • Thorough understanding and competence of Operational performance and incident tools such as, Greenplum, Netcool, NetAct, Atlas, Blarney).
  • Technical Ability - Must have in depth knowledge and understanding in the new technology, services and platforms. Able to undertake complex analysis of telecom/IT technology based problems.
  • Performance - Comprehensive grasp of Key Performance Indicators and measures used to assess service quality within the GSM, UMTS & LTE network systems and subsystems
  • Motivation - To have full confidence in own abilities coupled with a positive attitude and creative thinking. Engage and meet new challenges with the ability to overcome multiple obstacles in parallel.
  • Communication - Be able to clearly communicate complex issues concisely. Influence external suppliers and internal resource to support and deliver to objectives.
  • Planning and Organisation - A self-starter, must be able to prioritise workload and ensure delivery of aggressive targets and timescales. Continually reviewing plans to keep on track with rapidly changing goals.
