Job Description

Our client, a leading telecoms provider are currently recruiting for an experienced programme manager to join their transformation programme.

Representing the existing Core IT and Core Networks teams you will lead on engaging on behalf of the Core IT & Network delivery community with Transformation and ensure that deliveries are aligned to the Transformation Programme timelines and support the key outcomes for the business. As the Delivery System Integrator for the core teams you will attend key governance forums, be a primary point of escalation and drive issue resolution across the programme, ensuring the right balance between programme governance and flexibility.

You`ll lead a small virtual team of Programme and Project Managers, your main stakeholders will be the Core IT and Core Networks technical teams, and the Transformation Programme team, including engagement with their respective delivery partners. You will have accountability for ensuring issues are resolved not just within the technical delivery programmes but across any other dependencies on the existing business estate.

The successful candidate for this role will have experience operating in a fast paced, complex, matrix environment. You will be able to influence at multiple levels including senior management to drive resolution of issues across programmes.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Must Have:

Track record of large scale IT Programme delivery in a dynamic fast paced environment

Experience of both Agile and traditional Programme Management and Governance approaches

Background of working in a heavily partnered environment where delivery success is highly reliant on the capabilities of our partners

Highly customer-focused approach both internal customers and external partners).

Proven track record of influencing at senior management/operating board level within large organisations (1000+ staff), and of building and managing excellent business-wide relationships at all levels of an organisation.

Nice to Have:

Formal programme management qualification (e.g. MSP, Agile Programme Management)

Experience using MSPlanner, Teams and Sharepoint
