Job Description

Procurement Manager (IT Managed Services) - 6 month contract

We are looking for a Procurement Managers to join the Procurement team within MBNL but will be 100% seconded to the project team and managed day to day by the Commercial. Programme Lead.

The role

  • Formal commercial and financial definition of charging and pricing models that align with services and outcomes.
  • Create tenders and lead strategic commercial negotiations using established commercial processes and MBNL standards.
  • Support supplier commercial and financial due diligence on MBNL, make relevant info available to the suppliers during the procurement process, e.g. third party contracts.
  • Manage and coordination of the bidder responses' commercial analysis, comparison and scoring; compliance monitoring of bidders.
  • Work with relevant vendor/partner manager to develop outcome based performance frameworks for potential suppliers and define key contractual KPIs.
  • Work as part of a "virtual project team" and be an key part of the team in the outsourcing project.
  • Act as key liaison into the IT and legal teams to ensure they are aligned with this procurement.

Must Have

  • Strong and relevant commercial experience in a managed services environment on customer or supplier side.
  • Extensive previous experience as a commercial/procurement and pricing specialist /SME within a IT environment.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Expert level understanding of commercial and contractual principles and processes as related to outsourcing engagements.
  • Ability to gather, manipulate and process large amounts of numerical and financial data using structured procurement data analysis techniques.
  • Good understanding of contract law as applied to technology services agreements
  • Supplier management awareness and understandingNice to Have
  • Previous experience with Telecoms IT/OSS and OSS IT related functional areas.
  • Mobile telecoms industry exposure
