Procurement Manager

Procurement Manager - South London - Permanent

Project People are currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager to join a global technology and telecommunication business based in South London. Please note this is not strictly a procurement role, a suitable candidate will have experience working as a Commercial or Vendor Manager.

The role will focus on working with the business, understanding the needs and carrying out supplier selections and negotiating and drafting contracts. There will be a lot of commercial responsibilities as well as vendor and supplier relationship management.

Typical day would involve dealing with services/ brokering deals in order to provide better service and deals for customers, which will suit an ambitious an innovative thinker who's wanting to make an impact.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies
• Manage all related procurement processes including supplier analysis, RFP, contract placement, drafting, negotiation and management
• Establish and manage commercial relations
• Lead commercial negotiation with relevant suppliers
• Support stakeholders in their procurement requirements from identification to contract signature
• Establish and maintain the contract renewal schedule

Key requirements/ experience of:

• Flexible and dynamic strategic thinker with good commercial acumen
• Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
• Contract placement and management
• Vendor and stakeholder management
