PostgreSQL Database Administrator
Contract
Guildford
I am currently recruiting for a PostgreSQL DBA on behalf of a large communications company located in Guildford. This will be an ongoing contract assignment, paying competitive daily rates.
As PostgreSQL DBA you will be responsible for analysing differences to DB structure based on customer counter information, making any DB related changes (eg debugging, backup script creation) and analysing Master and Segment memory issues. You will liaise with vendor teams to proactively problem solve issues and carry out upgrades.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Update meta-data, DB structure and ETL logic to load new counters
- Verify / unit test, support SIT / UAT / deployment / stability period support - ownership from development till signoff on assigned work
- Perl scripts for data requests based on 3rd party requests
- Support L3 tickets
