Job Description

OSS Solution Architect. Reading. 6Months initial contract.

OSS Solution Architect required to be responsible for proposing and directing to develop the solution across Business Groups (Services, Products) and 3rd parties, using a mix of strong consultative and technical skills, interacting with key customer contacts and decision makers to consult on customer objectives, gathering business and technical requirements, establishing credibility for solution, and demonstrate technical leadership to the customer.

Service Assurance and Delivery Quality Assurance: Strong exposure and experience into Service Assurance, Service Management & Network Assurance area. Provide key inputs and guide the Operations to derive the requirements keeping the Architectural principles in mind. Should be able to work with Product vendor to make them understand the requirements and idea about how the same can be supported on the Product. Experience in customer facing roles. Working closely with customers and network teams in SI space.

Technically leads troubleshooting and debugging interoperability issues, oversee testing activity, and engage as required all technical resources (people & tools) available to the program to resolve issues. Will be Escalation point for solution-level technical problems that arise during implementation.

Delivery Planning: Provides input to the Project manager developing the project plan, including phase definition, entrance and exit criteria, major activities, identification of task interdependencies, and technical project risks and mitigation strategies.

Architecture and Design: During delivery, the documents the solution requirements, develops the high-level design and leads overall design activity. The also leads development of technical implementation planning documents such as the overall Migration and Solution Test strategy documents.

Experience required:
Ø Network management systems (TEMIP, Netcool, MYCOM, HPOV, NetAct, etc) integrations experience with one or more customers
Ø Knowledge of EPC, IMS, IP, Messaging, Transport and fixed line network, 3G/LTE/VoLTE Wireless Architecture, Cloud/Virtualization, Small Cells, Mobile Backhaul, Applications, IP Transformation.
Ø Knowledge of Cloud Computing Engineering, concepts, service models (IaaS, PaaS, etc), deployment models, practical implementations, operations, security and future trends
Ø Knowledge in datacentre networks (network architectures, service models, service provisioning);
Ø Experience working with Cloud Management Systems: OpenStack, Open flow

Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
Ø BS, MS or PhD in Electrical, Computer Science, Network Engineering or equivalent experience.
Ø Tweleve or more years of demonstrated experience in network consultancy, architecture, design, implementation and management.
Ø Demonstrated track record of successful delivery support.
