(NOC) Technical Services Specialist

Location: Solihull, Birmingham

Salary/Rate: £23,400 per annum

We need an experienced 1st line network support engineer to join a small team of highly skilled engineers based in Solihull on a permanent basis to manage and support the new Ministry of Defence Juniper Core Network. (MCN) WAN estate

Daily duties will include a mixture of general support escalations/fault finding and project/implementation work. Due to the nature of the work applicants will need a minimum of SC clearance with the possibility of applying for DV clearance in the future.

The MCN is a high performance, high availability Juniper based network consisting of MX and SRX series devices.

Mandatory Skills Required:

The candidate should be able to demonstrate that they have a good breadth and depth of technical experience in the support and management of Juniper MX and SRX series devices and be qualified to JNCIA/JNCIP/JNCIS levels. Applicants must have a minimum of SC clearance (Or be eligible to obtain) and be prepared to apply for DV clearance in the future.

Skills - Mandatory:

Qualified to JNCIA/JNCIP/JNCIS levels, Cisco CCNA/CCNP

Knowledge of at least 4 of the following network protocols: IP BGP MPLS IS-ISP RSVP VLAN's VPN's

Desirable Skills Required:

Exposure to High volume Technical Service Desk environment or previous NOC experience would be advantageous.
