Network Engineer - Contract - Portsmouth - Cisco, Firewalls, Proxies, Routers and Switches

This is a hands-on technical role responsible for configuration, administration and management of both networking and security components to include firewall, proxies, routers and switches and Cloud based technologies and virtual networks (e.g. VPC's)

Role Profile

• Perform regular health checks identifying and recommending any potential service improvements.
• L2 support and fixes
• To review current and recommend future technical standards covering all technology areas.
• To maintain standards, policies and processes relating to infrastructure management.

Key Experience

Strong technical competency and knowledge of the following technologies:

• Cisco Routing / Switching / Firewalls
• Network Security
• Cloud based technologies and virtual networks (e.g. VPC's)
• Strong experience in Cisco Enterprise Routing / Switching, BlueCoat Service and Palo Alto firewalls
