Job Description
Marketing Campaign Specialist - Permanent - Oxfordshire
This role will be initially heavily focused on email marketing, but with the implementation of a CRM, will in time be responsible for deploying end-to-end integrated direct marketing campaigns. You will have a good understanding of how to use consumer insights to inform marketing plans and be a creative thinker as well as harnessing the analytical skills needed to decipher campaign results and shape activity moving forward.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the UK direct marketing (consumer and recruitment) which includes:
- Full end to end campaign execution including planning, targeting, setup, testing, sending, reporting and optimisation across multiple channels including email, print, internal systems and SMS
- Researching core markets to develop insights and messaging that is tailored to target segment
- Ensuring that campaigns adhere to relevant privacy policies and best practice
- Continuous development of email templates from both aesthetic and multi-device perspective
- Ensuring that email deliverability is maximised
- Working towards set objectives across open rate, click-through-rate and other performance indicators
- Looking at ways to grow marketing list both on site and via third parties
- Managing any third party promotions or competitions to encourage opt-ins
- Staying current with best practices, strategies, and industry standards
- Working with the Head of Marketing and Communications Manager to develop data briefs for campaigns
- Creating segmentations and mailing groups using a Campaign Management system
- Devising and executing testing schedule for campaigns in order to constantly maximise performance
- Working with fulfilment agencies to ensure delivery of campaigns
- Managing relationship with ESP and driving maximum value from this
- Execution of automated campaign management system / event trigger / lifecycle driven campaigns
- Building and sending email campaigns
- Creating and editing images and graphics for use in emails
- Track and monitor campaign performance and audience behaviour
- Reporting back on performance of all direct marketing campaigns
The Ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent all-rounder with at least three years' direct marketing experience
- Experience of working within a fast-paced environment and adhering to deadlines
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Ability to analyse data and develop insights
- Solid copywriting skills
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Meticulous attention to detail and logical thinker
- A diligent individual who remains focused on business priorities
- A flexible team player who contributes positively towards the team and its overall goals
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative way across multiple teams
- An interest in travel would preferable
