Job Description

MSP Service Transition Manager - Contract to end of the year - Berkshire - Mobile Telecoms - Radio Access Network


  • Provide Governance for Service Transition Projects through-out their full design to Handover Lifecycle
  • Introduce and maintain a robust Service Change Management process
  • Ensure all new or amended Services are delivered into the live service portfolio with minimum impact to the live service operation and End User Experience
  • Ensure new Services have a fully developed end to end support structure, including Processes, SLAs, KPIs, and OLAs commensurate with business requirements and priorities.
  • Ensure effective decommissioning of services that are deemed `end of life` - to confirm the remove of all operational facilities, and redundant equipment, whilst ensuring any operational dependencies are effectively managed
  • Work with Project Managers, Business Owners, Service Owners, Managed Service Partners, Operations teams and 3rd parties to ensure that projects are delivered within tolerance.
  • Interface with the Programme Support Team to ensure adequate coverage across all relevant work requests.
  • Support Commercial negotiations with Shareholders and Managed Services Suppliers with Domain Area expertise
  • Matrix management for unilateral deliverables.
  • Develop and fortify the relationships and continue to improve Shareholder Engagement.
  • Attend relevent MSP Governance Meetings as the Network Services Transition Outcome responsible person.
  • Identify and report potential areas of operational improvements for the Managed Service contracts in to Operations Supplier Management Team.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in a Managed Service Environment and project managing the transition of services from one MSP to another
  • Mobile telecoms - ideally RAN Ops experience
  • Must have a strong understanding and demonstration of Service Management.
  • ITIL knowledge essential.
  • Experience of working in a Project environment.
  • Six Sigma, CMMI-Services
  • A thorough understanding of the GSM/UMTS/GPRS & LTE system architecture
  • Demonstrable Experience of delivering Outcome based Services in a telecommunications Operator or MSP organisation.
  • Must have experience of working in a complex environment.
  • Commercial understanding of outsource environment.
