Job Description

Job Title: Legal Counsel and Manager of Compliance (GDPR)

We are looking to hire a GDPR Specialist, who will work to implement the European Data Governance Framework to support business requirements, GDPR and Solvency II compliance, and be responsible for deeply reviewing, understanding and helping us across all channels and journeys in the consumer device business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop Western Europe business privacy security compliance policies based on regional privacy security compliance policies.
  • Implement privacy security compliance requirements and measures. Be responsible for the compliance operation & construction of the Western Europe business, and be responsible for organizing Western EU Marketing business process optimization and output of compliance deliverables. Collect, track, and close common issues in business.
  • Support to organize Western Europe business privacy security capability building, regular business self-check, and regular exercise, summarize and output cases, and organize training and enablement regularly.
  • Support to organize the analysis of new businesses and output the privacy security compliance solution in Western European Union Marketing Department.
  • Cooperate with the region to complete the privacy compliance inspection, and timely close the identified GDPR compliance issues.
  • Drafts and negotiates contracts with focus on privacy compliance.

  • Advises on aspects of law and legislative implications of decisions made.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in data protection, data management, audit, risk management or related area;
  • 3 years of Data protection experience and understanding of the GDPR requirements will be an advantage;
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel and Visio;
  • Strong organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills;
  • Good communication, presentation and influencing skills;
  • Very good written and spoken English and Mandarin;

Salary: GBP 60,000 per annum including the following benefits.
