Job Description

Job Purpose

Identify, design, develop and implement solutions that build people capability within a business area in order to enable the effective delivery of business outcomes. Work cross- functionally with a variety of internal stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of objectives. Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for external partners to ensure the provision of services that meet expectations.

Responsibilities

Data Collection & Analysis

Works independently to collate and analyse data using pre-determined tools, methods and formats.

Contract Management

Performs prescribed contract management activities by following existing procedures in order to support others.

Building Capability

Provides specialised training or coaching in area of expertise to others throughout the organisation.

Training development and delivery

Develops and designs content for training courses in specific functional areas to fill gaps in established programs; runs complex and/or customised training courses to improve employee performance within specific functional area.

Project Management

Delivers own small-scale or medium-scale projects by working within an established program management plan.

Needs Assessment

Explores issues and/or needs to establish potential causes, related issues and barriers.

Client & Customer Management (Internal)

Manage relationships with important internal customers, while taking guidance from senior colleagues.

Technical Skills:

Computer skills

Supports business processes without supervision by understanding and effectively using software packages, while providing technical guidance as needed.

Vendor Management

Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to manage vendors so that they deliver the best possible results given available resources.

Performance Management

Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to build a high-performance culture by designing and delivering programs that accurately assess and recognise the skills and capabilities that the organisation needs to achieve success.

Organisation Design and Development

Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on making sure the organisation develops and maintains the culture, values and design it needs to reach its objectives.

Learning and Talent Development

Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on motivating all employees to learn, grow and develop so that they can obtain the knowledge and experience they need to help the organisation reach its goals.

Assessment

Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to analyse data from multiple sources to draw appropriate conclusions and make suitable recommendations.

Project Management

Works without supervision while providing technical guidance when required on managing projects and/or programs within desired cost, time and quality parameters.

Planning and Organising

Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to plan, organise, prioritise and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives.

Verbal Communication

Uses clear and effective verbal communications skills with guidance (but not constant supervision) to express ideas, request actions and formulate plans or policies.

Key Requirements

  • Experience with Learning Design either within a Consultancy or large corporate fast paced consumer business
  • Practical experience of using Articulate 360 tool
  • Experience of designing digital learning in addition to classroom training and experience based learning
  • Video editing experience
