We have an exciting opening for a Lead Java Developer looking to showcase their leadership ability and lead a small team of Java Developers for a major Tech company within their Tech & Innovation function.

In this role you will play a major part in helping the company develop cutting edge products for their customers, through developing internal applications and services across the company estate.

Responsibilities:

• Technical involvement in all stages of the development lifecycle of products and services unsing middleware and Java / J2EE
• Responsible for the development, integration, support and maintenance of internet and provisioning based applications/services written in Java
• Accountable for software delivery from third party system integrators
• Responsible for signing off development stages including design, development, testing and approving work by third parties

Background needed:

• Strong Java/D2EE development background
• Have previously lead a team
• Strong hands on middleware software design and development ability
• Have previously managed suppliers and ensured delivery
• Proven ability to develop software

Technical requirements:

• Must have knowledge / experience with Docker, Kubernetes
• Java Oracle fusion 11g, RESTful API's, SOA
• Jave, JEE5
• Unix / Linux
• Web Services REST, JSON, XML, XSD, WSDL, EJB, XSL, JAXB, JAXWS, JDBC, JMS, JNDI etc
• Eclipse, Intellij, Maven, SVN / Git
• Testing - SOAPUI, TDD - Junit, BDD - Cucumber
• Concepts: Service Orientated Architecture, Enterprise Application Integration, OO, GoF patterns, JEE core design platform
• Frameworks - SPring, JBI, etc
