Junior Software Tester

Junior Software Tester - Permanent - Oxfordshire

A luxury brand is looking for a Junior Software Tester to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a great company and develop in to different areas of the business or expand your current skill set.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Taking responsibility for assuring that the software development deliverables meet business requirements
• Working closely with Development Team and Project Team to plan and agree appropriate acceptance test scenarios
• Analysing functional and design specifications to identify test requirements and create new test cases
• Documenting and executing integration, regression and acceptance tests
• Documenting issues found during testing and working closely with the development team to prioritise and resolve
• Providing and validating estimates and plans for testing new project work
• Developing an extensive working knowledge of the in-house system
• Participating in feature development from concept to design to construction in order to drive quality into the software application
• Staying abreast of industry testing tools which may assist with day to day tasks in order to improve test coverage and efficiency
• Working closely with the Development and IT support teams to support releases during implementation and post implementation of UAT and Live

Skills required:

• Previous experience of testing web, desktop and service (API) based applications
• Advanced knowledge of SQL Server and ability to write SQL queries
• Experienced in creating batch/script files for testing
• Experienced in automated testing script writing and execution
