Job Description

Jira Support / Jira Administrator - Contract - Berkshire - ASAP

Leading Mobile Telecoms company require an experienced Jira administrator to support their growing Jira platform.

You will be the first point of contact for Jira requests and will manage the ticketing system, training ("how to") materials and carry out administration activities in Jira. You will also support the Jira Expert/Lead as required; helping to write up technical documentation and process flows.

Skills required:

  • Experience of Jira and Confluence administration
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Good collaborator, able to work in a team

Beneficial (not essential):

  • Experience with the Jira Portfolio plugin
  • Experience with On Demand Jira

The role

  • User administration - setting up, removing, group administration
  • Licence administration - allocating/deallocating licences
  • Jira project and board setup for new teams
  • Monitoring of available licences - forecasting of licencing needs for planning purposes
  • Maintenance of a record of which users are in which circles
  • Administration of permissions - ensuring everyone has the right level of access that they need
  • Coordination of training requirements with teams throughout the business
  • Creation and maintenance of "how to" guides for remote learning / training
  • Monitoring and support of requests through the ticketing system - ensuring details and resolution timescales are communicated in a clear and timely manner
  • Planning and Jira support backlog management - establishing of priority based on time/business impact and escalation of issues requiring expert attention
  • Point of contact for all incoming requests relating to Jira
